Representatives are expected to provide a high level of customer service while achieving set goal including but not limited to appropriate handle and after call work times. Individuals best suited for this role are those comfortable using multiple computer- based systems at once while maintaining a professional phone demeanor. As an Outbound Representative you will primarily assist customers in collection related matters. Outbound is a fast-paced environment; employees best qualified for this position should be able to keep up with the pace of the work, be empathic to customers concerns, and remain calm and cool under pressure and be able to diffuse tense situations.

Key Accountabilities (US Union - Internal) During your shift, you will be on the telephone talking with National Grid customers. Must be comfortable with heavy phone work, data entry, always demonstrating a helpful and pleasant attitude. Must be willing to work shifts, which include weekends and most holidays. Nights may be the prevalent shift. Qualifications (US Union - Internal) Must have at minimum a High School Diploma or GED. This is a part time position of 20 hours per week. Preference will be given to multi lingual candidates; Spanish, Mandarin, Cantonese, Russian and those candidates with prior customer service experience

Requisition 10214 Corrosion Tech Helper

General Description Under general supervision collects field data for the analysis of corrosion control for all the duties listed below, in local 101.

Key Accountabilities

  • Ability to work independently to perform one man work and when necessary to work under the direction of others.
  • Perform simple work associated with installation, test use, repair and maintenance of all types of instruments and meters associated with corrosion control testing and monitoring. Perform simple tests to obtain the collection and graphing of required data. These tests usually involve simple instrument and meter functions. Understanding and applying Ohms law, interpreting test data,test data, understanding simple AC and DC electrical circuits.
  • Perform single man corrosion control testing and inspections
  • Make physical inspection and minor repairs of above and below ground cathodic test stations, including structure, anode and other test leads Assists Sr. Corrosion Technician or Corrosion Technician in performing other corrosion related data collection Assists Sr. Corrosion Technician or Corrosion Technician in performing corrosion related activities Assists Sr. Corrosion Technician or Corrosion Technician in performing analysis of corrosion data Maintain upkeep of vehicle and vehicle is properly equipped Responsible for the set-up and securing of a safe working area Perform physical and mechanical work including: hand excavation, Regrade, replacement and installation of cathodic test stations. Removal of existing pipe coating materials, pipe surface preparation, application of new coatings and anodes.
  • Qualify for and have necessary operator's licenses as required by law.
  • Meet all Operator Qualification Requirements.
  • Perform similar or less skilled work as may be required.
  • Assists Staff Engineer/Supervisor in performing other corrosion related data collection
  • Assists Staff Engineer/Supervisor in performing analysis of corrosion data
  • Must be able to adapt to new technology, improved software, and new/enhanced equipment required in the collection of cathodic protection data Qualifications
