Job Purpose This position is in our Customer Contact Center, answering customer inquiries regarding service, billing, and payments.

Key Accountabilities

During your shift, you will be on the telephone talking with National Grid customers. Must be comfortable with heavy phone work, data entry, always demonstrating a helpful and pleasant attitude. Must be willing to work shifts, which include weekends and most holidays. Nights may be the prevalent shift. There is required training the first 6 weeks of your employment (Monday to Friday 8:30 to 5:15). Supervisory/Interpersonal- Experience Required

Qualifications

Must have at minimum a High School Diploma or GED. This is a full-time position of 40 hours per week. Preference will be given to multi lingual candidates; Spanish, Mandarin, Cantonese, Russian and those candidates with prior customer service experience. Knowledge of arithmetic is required. Fcm Apprentice (3478)

Key Accountabilities (US Union - Internal)

Become familiar with the mechanical and electrical operation of LNG plant equipment. Assist in the inspection, troubleshooting, repair and overhaul of various equipment and machinery at the LNG Plant such as electric or engine driven pumps, compressors, boilers, vaporizers and their associated systems and controls.
Assisting in all types of work associated with troubleshooting, operating, maintenance, calibration, adjusting, and installing all plant instruments and controls, both mechanical and electrical. Adjusting, repairing, calibrating, and installing automatic control equipment which requires a thorough knowledge of the systems and their controls. Willing to learn the basic principles of AC and DC electricity and applying knowledge by working from electrical diagrams and sketches to test, repair, and troubleshoot controls. Using such types of testers as ohmmeters, voltmeters, ammeters, dead weight testers, etc. May work on or near energized circuits or equipment. Instructing and training other control personnel on the job. Performing construction and installation of special types of instrumentation and controls. Installing small piping and tubing. Read, interpret plans, drawings, and specifications for above work. Performing similar or less skilled work as may be assigned. Must be able to climb cold boxes and LNG Tanks. Must pass LNG Physical. Employees must progress to the top step rate of this position. To be eligible for progression increases, applicants must demonstrate satisfactory performance, complete all on-the-job training and in-house training programs established for this classification.

Experience: Employees will be expected to work overtime in accordance with departmental requirements. Employees selected for this classification will be required to participate in federally mandated drug testing programs prior to selection, randomly on a year-round basis, after an accident, and for reasonable cause.

Key Accountabilities (US Union - Internal)

Being thoroughly familiar with all equipment systems and processes in or associated with the plant. Assist in all phases of operation, including startup and shutdown, and test operate all equipment and systems in or associated with the plant. Responsible for all field operations. Take readings, samples, perform tests and inspections and interpret changes. Advise Operator of unusual circumstances. Take necessary corrective actions. Perform mechanical duties associated with minor repairs and adjustments to plant or associated equipment. Read and interpret station piping and process diagrams. Perform various inspections to ensure safety and security within or outside the plant and assist in the preparation of necessary reports. Perform similar or less skilled work. Must be in good physical health as lifting, climbing, working from heights and confined spaces and working in inclement weather are routine for this position. Must be able to climb the LNG Tank daily (within two minutes). Must pass an annual LNG/DOT physical including respirator fit test. Candidates will attend and must pass LNG Fire Fighting School every four years. Candidates selected will be expected to work overtime in accordance with departmental requirements.

MUST BE ABLE TO PASS OPERATOR SCREENING EXAM
